By supporting the purchase of these garments, customers contribute to the preservation of this ancestral art form, while the women artisans are compensated with fair hourly wages for their 9-11 hours of work per sleeve.

When working with Yomisma, we felt happy because we can teach our children the techniques to keep our cultural heritage alive for generations and generations, just like our mothers and our grandmothers taught us,” says Cristina Perez Gomez, a 27-year-old artisan born and raised in the Chiapas region.

We want to be clear that these embroidery designs were created and registered by this community.
