The flight to Atlanta GA from her home in New Zealand was long already and became even longer for Joy Adams with flight delays and changes, 37½ hours. It is a testament to the perseverance she has had throughout her music career. Her 21st album hit gold this year with the prestigious International Female Album of the Year at the ISSA Awards. The win cements her place in history and is a most coveted award among songwriters worldwide.

Adams is a DJ, singer, performer, teacher, philanthropist, promoter, and songwriter. She has remained true to her craft for a number of years, constantly promoting her fellow entertainers in her homeland of New Zealand. She is a rare commodity in her wealth of knowledge when it comes to the ins and outs of navigating the world of music promotion. She is always willing to help a struggling songwriter or indie artist straighten out a problem they may be facing.

Her win at the International Singer Songwriter Association awards is a well deserved accolade for her hard work. The album, “Just One Little Thing”, was produced by Gary R. Farmer from Flintstone, GA . The two found a way to write and create  through Covid and in a way that is a truly amazing feat in itself, with Adams recording her beautiful vocals remotely in New Zealand and emailing her parts to Farmer in the USA.

“Just One Little Thing”, is a beautiful album that is a listening experience for any country music enthusiast that will remain at the top of anyone’s library. The tracks on the album contain originals, as well as covers of classic country songs, 2 of which went to number one in Ireland.
